MIAMI - Key West police are searching for two men who were caught on surveillance video setting fire to a Christmas tree in front of the landmark that marks the southernmost point of the continental United States: the 90-mile buoy.Although the fire was quickly extinguished, police said it caused extensive damage to the iconic buoy which was visible on Saturday by visitors who arrived at the scene and could see part of the burned structure.Stay up to date with all the latest news and the latest happenings in our community by downloading the Telemundo 51 app for iOS or Android.The incident occurred between 3 and 3:30 am on the first New Year's Day.Anyone with information on the identity of the two people involved is asked to call the Key West Police Department at 305-809-1000.
