Product Description:
Levonorgestrel is a synthetic progestational hormone with actions similar to those of progesterone and about twice as potent as its racemic or[+-]-isomer[norgestrel][1]. It is a kind of emergency contraception, referring as a drug or device used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse[including sexual assault] or after a recognized contraceptive failure[1]. It is used for contraception, control of menstrual disorders, and treatment of endometriosis. Levonorgestrel is marketed mostly as a combination oral contraceptive under several brand names such as Alesse, Triphasil, and Min-Ovral. It is also marketed under the brand of Plan B.
Levonorgestrel was discovered in 1963 and was introduced for medical use together with ethinylestradiol in 1970.[2, 3] It is listed as an essential medicine by the World Health Organization, being the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system.[4] It is available as a generic medication.[5]
Levonorgestrel is a levo-isomer of Norgestrel. The progestins include the naturally occurring hormone progesterone, 17a-acetoxyprogesterone derivatives in the pregnane series, 19-nortestosterone derivatives(estranes), and norgestrel and related compounds in the gonane series. The 19-nortestosterone derivatives were developed for use as progestins in oral contraceptives, and while their predominant activity is progestational, they exhibit androgenic and other activities. The gonanes are a more recently developed series of "19-nor" compounds, containing an ethyl rather than a methyl substituent in the 13-position, and they have diminished androgenic activity.

indication:
It is used for female emergency contraception, that is, when there is no protective measures or other contraceptive methods are accidentally wrong.

Usage and dosage:
Within 72 hours of sex.

Adverse reactions:
Visible menstrual changes, most of the performance for the month of medication menstruation ahead of time or delay.
Mild nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, headache, dizziness, fatigue and other symptoms can disappear after 24 hours. If the symptoms are severe or persistent, consult a doctor.
Abnormal uterine bleeding may occur. If the bleeding can not disappear by itself, it is necessary to go to the hospital in time to be alert to the existence of ectopic pregnancy.

Taboo:
Breast cancer, reproductive organ cancer, abnormal liver function or recent history of liver disease or jaundice, venous thrombosis, cerebrovascular accident, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, mental depression and women over 40 years old are prohibited.

Matters needing attention:
1. This product is an emergency remedy contraceptive for contraceptive errors, not for induction of labor.
2. This product should not be used as a conventional contraceptive, and reliable contraceptive measures should be taken from after taking the medicine to before the next menstruation.
3. If vomiting occurs within 2 hours after taking the medicine, one tablet should be taken immediately.
4. This product may advance or delay the next menstruation. If the menstruation is still in the future after one week, you should immediately go to the hospital for examination to exclude pregnancy.
5. It is forbidden to use this product in case of allergic constitution.
6. It is forbidden to use this product when its properties change.
7. Please keep this product out of the reach of children.
